Accommodations—The Lodge

Where the Lykes Family Stayed—Now Your Home Base

Nestled beneath majestic oak trees, the Silver Lake Preserve Lodge offers spacious, comfortable accommodations with genuine Old Florida character. Originally built in the mid-1900s as the Lykes family’s private hunting retreat, the lodge has been thoughtfully expanded and modernized while preserving the warmth and authenticity that make it special. Hardwood floors, comfortable beds, and all the modern conveniences you need, wrapped in the kind of atmosphere you can’t manufacture.

Tucked Away in Old Florida

There’s something special about evenings here. After a day of hunting, you’ll settle into a comfortable chair as the smell of dinner fills the lodge. The conversation flows easily—reliving the day’s best moments, ribbing the friend who missed an easy shot, planning tomorrow’s strategy. Later, you might drift outside to the firepit and watch the stars emerge over the oaks. These are the moments that turn a hunting trip into a lifelong memory.
